About the HR + Safety Congress

HR + Safety Congress is a collaborative, cross-disciplinary conference experience designed to bring together human resources professionals, safety leaders, risk managers, business owners, and community partners to elevate workplace preparedness, employee well-being, and organizational resilience.

Founded by Anna Marie Prim, the HR + Safety Congress was created in response to real-world emergencies, disasters, and workplace crises that highlighted the need for HR and safety professionals to learn, plan, and lead together - not in silos.

Created to address the growing need for integrated learning across HR, safety, emergency preparedness, and risk leadership, the Congress creates a space where professionals can learn together, share real-world insights, and build practical strategies that protect people and communities.

The event model emphasizes:

  • High-impact education and professional development

  • Cross-sector collaboration between HR, safety, legal, and emergency response professionals

  • Practical, experience-based learning grounded in real organizational challenges

  • Community connection, preparedness, and service

HR + Safety Congress programming has included multi-track educational sessions, expert speakers, interactive demonstrations, and community partnerships focused on workplace safety, crisis response, compliance, mental health, leadership, and disaster preparedness.

The Congress was created with a simple but powerful mission: to elevate the HR profession while building safer, more prepared workplaces and communities - together.

HR + Safety Congress has been hosted in partnership with community organization(s) and professional association(s).
